Weight Loss Challenge Diary: Week 2 of 8 – Patrick

Hey everyone,

pat2Well, it’s been a crazy week. As a teacher, end of term is never an easy period. Marking, exams etc. I am not complaining here no. :-)

It just means I need a lot of energy. It’s a good thing that I started this program. I remember when i was a bit younger and was in the gym 3-4 times a week. I had a lot of energy. Not anymore…

This is something that has been missing lately in my life. And of course, I knew it was because of my lack of exercise. I knew that getting back into shape will solve that problem. All I had to do is get up of that comfy couch and do something about it. Do something for me…

I was on the Ferris wheel downwards. I was too lazy too do something. And it’s really hard to get yourself out of there…

But once you’ve started, you understand how miserable and how bad you were feeling back then. I know, it’s only been 2 weeks since I’ve started. But what the first benefit of training? Exactly! You have more energy. You feel better.

One of the reason is the diet or let’s say the food. Because I don’t feel like i’m doing something special or I’m privatizing myself of something. I eat healthy and it tastes delicious. It’s all in the way you see it and prepare it!! :-)

pat-WEEK2Now, on the weight side, I started the program at 98.7 Kilos. I’m 187 cm tall a well. So I’m a strongly built man. ( like the weight machine says of me at Tanyanpura. haha!).

I’m at 96.9 now. Ish ! :-) so 2 kilos in two weeks. I feel pretty happy with that as i know I gained in muscle and lost a lot of fat. I can see the difference already when I look at myself in the mirror.

Time to think about week 3 already. The effort is still very intense for each session of class we have. But the time of recuperation is getting better. Less and less time to get back to normal cardio level.

It feels good!!
